6th GRADE ORIENTATION SCHEDULE TUESDAY, MAY 19, 2015 – 9:00-10:00 a.m. 9:00-9:30- Mrs. Boehm’s class will tour first- meet by the Concession Stand area upon arrival Group A- Tour with Lukas Casner, Alyssa Coleman, Kate Dawson, and Brody White o Begin in art, music hallway, office area, Ware, gym, Johnston, Traul, Gentry then back to CORE area- Shipley, Hazelbaker, White, Brownback o Back to Cafeteria for activity with Mrs. Orth Group B- Tour with Treyton Compton, Darcy Workman, Imerie Bedgood, and Aidan Schneider o Begin in CORE area- Brownback, White, Hazelbaker, Shipley, then to Gentry, Johnston, Traul, gym area, Ware, office area, art, music o Back to cafeteria for activity with Mrs. Orth Mrs. Schneider’s class will go to the auditorium to hear speakers: Mr. Dillon- Welcome & All Jayhawk Mrs. Abernathy- Discipline, etc Mr. Johnson- School Safety Mr. Holt-JH Sports/ football Mrs. Holt- volleyball/ track Mr. Kirk Holt/K. The year is almost over! The following are a few reminders/details to help finish out the year… -return any library or classroom reading books -pay lunch balances -clean out lockers -6th Grade Orientation at JLHS-May 19 at 9 am-just students -last day of school- -6th Grade Celebration-8:30 am -your child may leave after the celebration with a face- to-face/hand written note -a few munchkins have asked about attire for the celebration….nice capris, jeans, cargo shorts, skirts -on the last day, if they choose to stay, they may bring comfy clothes to change into, snacks, board games/ cards IT TAKES A BIG HEART TO HELP SHAPE LITTLE MINDS!!!

May 21-6th Grade Celebration Ceremony at 8:30 am-Your child is free to leave after the ceremony with WRITTEN or FACE-TO-FACE contact with a teacher...Thanks! 6th grade spelling for week 35
